New building: Lehartrakt

Until 2001, this was the site where the old laboratory building of the chemical engineering department was situated. On the same spot, a trend-setting new building is now emerging.

This building is part of the project called "TU Univercity 2015": In all buildings of the Vienna University of Technology (TU Vienna), ideal conditions for research and science are to be created by the 200th anniversary.

With its about 3,000 scientists and over 18,000 students, TU Vienna is the largest Austrian institution for research and education in the field of technology and natural sciences. The project "TU Univercity 2015" safeguards the basis for outstanding technical excellence:
